Humphrey’s Pyjama Day at the Nursery

On 10th October, children and adults at St. Peter's Nursery Unit put on their pyjamas and came to school to celebrate Humphrey's Pyjama Party.   For a voluntary donation of £2 per child, children wore their comfy PJs and participated in a number of fun and educational themed activities, whilst raising funds for The Children's Trust.   The children played games, heard »»»

Change It Up with St. Peter’s School Council

On Friday 17th October, Mrs Ward held an assembly highlighting an exciting opportunity for the children at St. Peter's Primary School to become part of the new School Council. St. Peter’s Girls Spring into Action at Gymnastics Club

At St. Peter's, the Primary 6 and 7 children are given the unique opportunity to learn gymnastics in a safe, enjoyable environment.  The children are encouraged to learn skills such as balance, co-ordination, spatial awareness, strength, agility and discipline. Armagh Schools Draw

From 6th October, children will be selling tickets for the Armagh Grand GAA Draw.  This is a great opportunity to raise money for your local GAA club, as well as for the school. Books are sold in packs of ten and tickets cost £2 each.  As well as being entered into the Schools Draw, each full book returned to school will be entered into our St. Peter's school raffle for some great »»»

ICT Equipment for St. Peter’s

Computer Club

Computer Club began on September 23rd with children from Primary 6. Research, creativity and collaboration is the focus of the club which caters for small groups of children in 5 weekly sessions. In the first session, the children learned how to take photos, open apps and create a presentation with text, images and a voiceover.  Using Apple TV the children then showed their work on the »»»

Active To School with Sustrans

Pamela from Sustrans visited St. Peter's on 16th September to talk to the children about becoming more active.  The Sustrans initiative encourages children to walk and cycle more in rural areas.   Did you know that only 2% of children in Northern Ireland take a bike to school?  Pamela brought along her bike Bertie and showed us how he folds up into a tiny package.  He's sure to be on »»»
